Contemporary is a very beautiful dance form and although we only teach this on private tuition at the moment it is a form that is necessary for performing arts college and university. This art form is expressive to all styles of music and most often tells a story through dance with expressive and innovating moves. It is necessary to have ballet training to enhance the style for it to be executed correctly plus good body suppleness will add to its beauty. We often teach this genre for audition pieces to students that are auditioning for Performing Arts College, however we do feel that it is a dance form that should be taught from an early age.
